Glenn Ficarra y John Requa, que ya nos hicieron reir, y mucho por momentos, con "Phillip Morris ¡Te quiero! - I Love Phillip Morris!, 2010", lo vuelven a lograr con esta historia de arranque bastante dramático, pero muy divertida, Adorable y Sexy, esto último no tanto, que relata la crisis matrimonial de Cal (Steve Carell) y Emily Weaver (Julianne Moore) con cierto sentido del humor, una mirada adulta, y con un desenlace que emula a los enredos de filmes clásicos. Una comedia de altura.

La película está inspirada en los personajes del serial radiofónico de los años 30's, The Green Hornet, ceados por George W. Trendle y Fran Striker, que en los 40's se convirtió en comic y que en 1966 dio el salto a la TV, donde se emitió hasta 1967, siendo el trampolín que impulsó la carrera cinematográfica de Bruce Lee, que interpretaba el papel de Kato.
