Gandalf: Y espero que nunca tengas que hacerlo. Pero si lo haces, recuerda esto: el verdadero valor no reside en saber cuándo quitar una vida, sino en cuando no hacerlo.

Gente que anda, de nuevo
Volvemos a las "andadas", que diría Kevin Smith, si nos permites el chascarrillo. Si te encantó "El Señor de los Anillos - The Lord Of The Rings; Peter Jackson", te gustará también "El Hobbit: Un viaje inesperado - The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey; 2012", pero si te aburrió, esta te abocará a un tedio similar. O no, porque nos ha dado la impresión que la primera entrega de la nueva trilogía basada en otra obra de J.R.R. Tolkien está concebida y dirigida de una manera más ágil que la anterior, --también hay que decir que el tono de la historia es distinto a su continuación literaria--. A pesar de las casi tres horas de metraje, no da tiempo a echar una cabezadita, pues hay acción y sobresaltos en cantidad suficiente como para mantenernos entretenidos todo el rato. Bien, dicho así, parece que todo pinta de maravilla pero....sí, casi nunca la felicidad es completa, muchas de las espectaculares escenas se nos antojan dirigidas casi exclusivamente al público infantil, con el típico mamporro de los dibujos animados como modelo. Evidentemente el libro es para los peques, de edad o corazón, y también para l@s muy fans de la saga pero, tal y como están hechas, carecen de una verosimilitud que es necesaria en ciertas dosis, --y no nos referimos a las águilas gigantes, cosas como esta son algo inherente a la fantasía--. Otro punto flojo es la persecución por el páramo, que tiene unos efectos especiales un poco simplones, los personajes parece que levitasen en vez de correr, --nos han recordado a las transparencias de hace 50 años y más allá...-- . De todas formas nos gusta sacar el lado bueno de las cosas y nos quedaremos con la efectividad en cuanto a buen entretenimiento se refiere, incluso el corte final que hace de transición a la segunda parte, nos ha parecido bastante mejor que el de la primera película de El Señor de los Anillos. Y, también nos parece bueno que Jackson quiera enriquecer la historia echando mano de los apéndices de El Señor de los Anillos.

A modo de curiosidad diremos que Andy Serkis,  además de ejercer de Gollum lo hace también de director de segunda unidad.
